About Michigan International Speedway

Opening in 1968, the Michigan International Speedway is a two mile D-shaped speedway located in Southeastern Michigan. This is the fastest track in NASCAR due to its wide corners, long straightaways, and qualifying speeds over 200 mph!

Access to the pit and paddocks varies based on event, so you should check the website for details. There appears to be a Pit Pass and Paddock option for the NASCAR June event, allowing guests to walk along pit road and see the drivers setting up in their pit stalls. See the

Fan Tips

Michigan International Speedway offers high-speed racing on a wide two-mile oval, allowing for multiple grooves and side-by-side action.

Located in Brooklyn, Michigan, the track is primarily accessed by car and rideshare.

Grandstand seating provides strong views, especially from higher sections.

Concessions include traditional race-day options.

Race weekends feature camping and a relaxed, open atmosphere.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

One soft-sided cooler no larger than 10" x 10" x 12" AND one soft-sided bag no larger than 18"x 18"x 4" may be brought into the track.  All bags subject to search before entry.

Getting to Michigan International Speedway

Public Transit: The Michigan International Speedway has 35 trams to pick-up and drop-off along the speedway from the parking areas. There is no Rail Line that provides service to the track.

Rideshare: There is no designated drop-off/pick-up area.
