Fan Tips

Comerica Park blends baseball with a distinctly Detroit identity from the moment you arrive. The large tiger statues at the entrance and downtown setting give the ballpark a strong sense of place right away.

Before the game, fans often explore the surrounding downtown area or head straight inside to take in the park’s unique features, including the carousel and Ferris wheel beyond the outfield.

The seating bowl is open and spacious, with generally strong sightlines and a relaxed atmosphere. Views of the Detroit skyline add to the experience, especially during evening games.

Food options include classic ballpark fare along with local favorites, and the wide concourses make it easy to move around without feeling crowded.

After the game, the downtown location makes it easy to continue the night nearby, with restaurants and bars within walking distance of the stadium.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

Single-compartment bags, wallets, and clutches smaller than 4" x 6" x 1.5" with or without a handle or strap are allowed in the stadium. Some exceptions can be made for medically necessary items. Bags will be searched upon entry.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
