Member Review - D.J. Fluck of Stadium Scene

I attended a bowl game at Ford Field in 2007 so things may be different from the last time I visited.  The area of Detroit felt pretty safe and well patrolled by stadium security and police.  We parked in a lot near the people mover and walked over to the ballpark.  Both Comerica Park and Ford Field are right next to each other so you could park for both stadiums.

About Ford Field

Becoming a contributor to the revitalizing of downtown Detroit, Ford Field opened in 2002 with much fanfare. Unfortunately, the play of the Detroit Lions has not matched the quality of this facility. The facility was built around an old warehouse from the 1920s, giving the stadium a classic architectural feel.

Ford Field offers an indoor NFL experience in the heart of downtown Detroit, serving as home to the Detroit Lions in a venue that blends modern design with historic elements.

Located downtown, the stadium is accessible by car, rideshare, and nearby transit options.

The seating bowl keeps fans close to the field, helping build a strong and energetic atmosphere.

Concessions include traditional fare along with Detroit-area favorites.

After the game, fans can explore nearby downtown restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.
