Wrigley Field opened in 1914 and became the home of the Chicago Cubs starting in 1916. It is currently the second oldest stadium in Major League Baseball (Fenway Park in Boston, MA).
Over the years, Wrigley has hosted a variety of events including the NFL's Chicago Bears, college football, soccer, and concerts.
Wrigley Field completed a $500 million renovation in 2018.
Learn more about the teams that play here and upcoming events on our team pages.
A trip to Wrigley Field is less about getting to your seat and more about the experience leading up to first pitch. Located in the heart of Wrigleyville, the neighborhood comes alive hours before the game with bars, restaurants, and street vendors all within walking distance of the stadium.
Most fans arrive early to take in the atmosphere around Clark and Addison, snapping a photo at the iconic red marquee before heading inside. If you're looking for a true Wrigley experience, consider spending time in the bleachers where the energy is loud, social, and uniquely Chicago.
Once inside, the historic charm stands out immediately. From the hand-operated scoreboard to the ivy-covered outfield walls, Wrigley Field delivers one of the most recognizable visuals in sports. Sightlines are classic but can be obstructed in certain areas due to support columns, so seat selection matters.
Food options blend traditional ballpark staples with local Chicago flavors. Expect hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and plenty of beer options. Walking the concourse is easy, but it can get tight during peak innings due to the stadium’s older design.
After the game, the experience continues outside. Win or lose, fans spill back into Wrigleyville where the postgame scene is just as lively as before the first pitch. Whether you're bar hopping or grabbing a late bite, the surrounding neighborhood is a key part of what makes a visit to Wrigley Field stand out.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.

Rockwell St. Alternatively, many private residences and local business offer parking for a fee that varies by proximity to the stadium, the opponent, the day (weekends are typically more expensive than weekdays), and the time of year.
