About Wintrust Arena

This new arena literally popped up overnight on the grounds of the world famous McCormick Place convention center in Chicago.  Both the Sky and DePaul University quickly moved to this new venue.

Fan Tips

Wintrust Arena delivers a modern, purpose-built basketball experience just south of downtown Chicago.

Located near McCormick Place, the arena is accessible by car or public transit, with a straightforward arrival experience.

Inside, the seating bowl is compact with excellent sightlines, creating a strong connection between fans and the court.

Food options are solid and easy to access, with a mix of traditional concessions and local touches.

After the game, fans can head toward nearby neighborhoods or downtown Chicago to continue the evening.

Bag Policy

Only permitted bags:Purses, bags or containers larger than a small clutch bag (a clutch bag is 4.5″ x 6.5″ or 6.5″ x 4.5″, approximately the size of a hand without a strap) are permitted.2″ x 6″ x 12″ Clear Plastic Bags may be hand carried or have a shoulder strap.One gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc).

  • #3 King Drive bus running north/south along Michigan Avenue
  • #21 Cermak Road bus runs East/West along Cermak Road.
  • #4 Cottage Grove bus runs North/South along Michigan Avenue


CTA:

  • The CTA Cermak-McCormick Place Green Line Station (Chicago, IL) station is located at Cermak Road and State Street, 2.5 blocks (0.15 mile) west of the Wintrust Arena at Cermak Road and Indiana Ave.
  • The CTA Cermak-Chinatown Red Line Station (Chicago, IL) is located four blocks west (0.5 mile) of the Wintrust Arena and two blocks west of the Cermak-McCormick Place Green Line Station.

Rideshare:

There is no official taxi stand, but concierge desk inside the arena can help point you to where taxis will be lining up for the event.
