Member Review - D.J. Fluck of Stadium Scene

Walking in the building it's hard to believe that the United Center is already 20+ years old.  It's very well kept and there really isn't a bad seat in the house.  While the Blackhawks are in the middle of a sellout streak, I advise against purchasing Standing Room Only (SRO) because there are only a few places on the 300 level where you can see the ice when people stand.  If you are going to chance it, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because your feet will hurt at the end of the night.

Fan Tips

United Center delivers a classic big-arena experience, serving as home to both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks. The venue combines historic significance with modern upgrades, making it one of the most recognizable arenas in the NBA.

Located on Chicago’s West Side, the arena is accessible by CTA trains, buses, and rideshare, though many fans still rely on nearby parking.

The seating bowl offers strong sightlines throughout, and the atmosphere builds quickly for marquee games and rivalry matchups.

Food options include traditional stadium fare along with Chicago staples, giving fans a taste of the city’s food culture.

After the game, fans typically head back toward downtown or nearby neighborhoods for dining and nightlife.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.

Bag Policy

As of the 2021-2022 season, any bag larger than 10"x6"x2" (briefcases, luggage, purses, diaper bags).  Backpack purses and single compartment drawstring bags are allowed.  All bags will be searched before entry.  For more information, please see the stadium website.Bag checks are not available at this stadium.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
