About Texas Motor Speedway

The Texas Motor Speedway opened in 1997. Take a trip to this track for both Indy Car and NASCAR. Did you know that the Texas Motor Speedway was the first speedway to display laps in the race counting down and up?

Learn more about the teams that play here and upcoming events on our team pages.

Tour Info

You can purchase a pre-race pass for $59, where you can get access to track surface in front of the stage for driver introductions and activities before the race. Team Texas provides driving programs from 10 to 80 laps and also provides one-on-one advanced sessions. In the advanced sessions, you can reach speeds of over 150 MPH.

Fan Tips

Texas Motor Speedway offers a high-speed intermediate oval experience, hosting major NASCAR and IndyCar events in a large-scale venue.

Located in Fort Worth, the track is primarily accessed by car and rideshare.

Grandstand seating provides expansive views of the track, especially from higher sections.

Concessions include traditional race-day options along with Texas-inspired food selections.

Race weekends feature tailgating, camping, and a lively fan environment.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

A hard or soft-sided cooler or soft-sided bag no larger than 14"x 14"x 14" are permitted. All bags are subject to inspections.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
