Stadium Information

About PayPal Park

PayPal Park is home to Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes. The San Jose Earthquakes spent over twenty years in various Bay Area facilities before moving here. Previously know as Avaya Stadium, it opened March 22, 2015, costing $100 million. The stadium is located to the west of the San Jose International Airport. A seismograph was installed in the stadium to sense ground movement during earthquakes. It is also useful to measure ground movement from an excitable crowd!

Learn more about the teams that play here and upcoming events on our team pages.

Tour Info

Stadium tours are available Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 5 pm. The group capacity is 25 people, so be sure to book your tour before full capacity is reached. For more information, please visit the tour website.

Fan Tips

PayPal Park delivers a true soccer-first experience in Silicon Valley, with a design that emphasizes supporter culture and constant energy throughout the match.

Located near the San Jose airport, the stadium is accessible by car, rideshare, and limited public transit options.

The open-air design and steep seating sections keep fans engaged, while the ultras sections drive the atmosphere.

Concessions include a mix of standard offerings and Bay Area-inspired options, reflecting the local food scene.

After the match, fans often head into downtown San Jose for additional dining and entertainment.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

All bags larger than 14"x14"x6" such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.  All bags are subject to inspection before entry.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
