About Scotiabank Saddledome

This is personally one of our favorite stadium names and designs. This stadium opened in 1983 when Atlanta lost their first of two hockey franchises and was also used in the 1988 Winter Olympics.

Fan Tips

Scotiabank Saddledome delivers a unique and historic NHL experience, serving as home to the Calgary Flames in one of the league’s most recognizable arenas. Its distinct roof design and passionate fan base create a memorable game-day atmosphere.

Located near downtown Calgary, the arena is accessible by CTrain light rail, car, and rideshare.

The seating bowl offers strong sightlines, with a classic arena feel that differs from newer venues.

Concessions include traditional fare along with Canadian favorites.

After the game, fans can explore downtown Calgary’s restaurants and nightlife nearby.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

All large bags such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.  All bags are subject to inspection before entry.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
