About Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Camden Yards started a trend in the 1990s of building baseball stadiums in the middle of downtown. The unique design led to the inspiration for Chase Field, Nationals Park, and Petco Park. It provided a major landscaping change for once run down warehouse districts.

Fan Tips

Oriole Park at Camden Yards set the standard for modern retro ballparks, and it still holds up as one of the most distinctive stadium experiences in baseball. Located in downtown Baltimore, the stadium blends seamlessly into the surrounding area.

The B&O Warehouse running along right field is the defining visual element, and Eutaw Street behind the outfield serves as a gathering area filled with history, including markers showing where home runs have landed.

The seating bowl offers strong sightlines and a more intimate feel compared to larger stadiums. The design keeps fans close to the action while still allowing room to move comfortably.

Food options include Maryland specialties along with traditional ballpark fare, and the concourses provide easy access to different areas of the stadium.

After the game, the nearby Inner Harbor and surrounding downtown areas offer plenty of options to continue the experience.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

There is a clear bag policy and clear bags can be no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” or a one gallon plastic freezer bag. A clutch is also allowed if it is no larger than 5” x 7”. Accommodations may be made for diaper bags and medically necessary bags.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
