About Yankee Stadium

The new Yankee Stadium replaced the previous Yankee Stadium in 2009. It's jokingly referred to as "The House that George Built", named after late owner George Steinbrenner.

Fan Tips

A visit to Yankee Stadium starts before you even enter the gates. Located in the Bronx, the area around the stadium fills quickly with fans, street vendors, and merchandise stands as game time approaches. The subway drops you off just steps away, making arrival easy and part of the experience.

Once inside, the Great Hall immediately sets the tone with its high ceilings and larger-than-life banners celebrating Yankees history. Monument Park in center field is a must-visit for first-time fans, offering a walk through the franchise’s legendary past.

The seating bowl is modern and spacious, with wide concourses and clear sightlines throughout most sections. Premium areas are polished and upscale, while the bleachers provide a louder, more energetic atmosphere.

Food options go well beyond standard ballpark fare, with a mix of classic New York staples and elevated concessions. Lines can build during peak innings, but the stadium layout helps keep foot traffic moving.

After the game, the crowds funnel back toward the subway and surrounding streets. The postgame scene is busy but efficient, and the energy of a Yankees crowd carries well beyond the final out.

Security Screenings

All guests must enter through metal detectors before entering the stadium.

Bag Policy

The stadium allows a soft-sided and no larger than 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches bag and only also one smaller-sized soft-sided personal item like a clutch.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
