Stadium Information

About Petco Park

Located in the Gaslamp District of San Diego, Petco Park has been a proud fixture of the San Diego community since 2004. The Western Metal Supply Company building was declared a historic landmark in 1978 so as a result the stadium integrated it as part of the stadium since the building could not be demolished. Look for that down the left field line.

Fan Tips

Petco Park blends baseball with downtown San Diego’s relaxed coastal atmosphere. Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, the stadium is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and walkable streets that stay active before and after games.

Many fans arrive early to explore the neighborhood or spend time at the “Park at the Park,” a grassy area inside the stadium that offers a more casual viewing experience.

The seating bowl features strong sightlines and open concourses, allowing fans to stay connected to the game while moving around. Views of the city skyline add to the setting.

Food options are among the best in MLB, with a wide variety of local vendors and high-quality selections throughout the stadium.

After the game, the Gaslamp Quarter becomes the focal point, with plenty of options to continue the night just steps from the ballpark.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

The stadium will only allow single compartment bags that are 7” x 10” or smaller, infant, and medical bags.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.

Parking Options

There are approximately 20,000 parking spaces downtown, but much of Petco Park's official parking is not available due to construction in the area.  In 2023 they recommend public transit or walking to the ballpark.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details.
