LAFC kicked off its inaugural season in this building on April 29, 2018, against the Seattle Sounders.  Strangely enough, this was the first open-air stadium built in the city of Los Angeles since Dodger Stadium in 1962.

BMO Stadium delivers a modern, high-energy soccer experience in the heart of Los Angeles, serving as home to LAFC and Angel City FC. The venue was built specifically for soccer, helping create one of the most intense atmospheres in MLS and the NWSL. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Located in Exposition Park near downtown Los Angeles, the stadium is accessible by light rail, bus, and nearby parking options.

The steep seating design keeps fans close to the pitch, while the supporter sections help drive a loud, nonstop matchday atmosphere.

Food options reflect Los Angeles’ diverse food scene, with a strong mix of local vendors and elevated stadium offerings.

After the match, fans can explore nearby attractions or head into downtown LA for additional entertainment and nightlife.

Security Screenings

Visitors will be subject to typical screenings which may include metal detectors, hand wands, pat-down searches, and bag checks.  Refusal to comply with security procedures will likely result in denial of admission to the stadium.

Bag Policy

One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12", or:A one-gallon clear plastic storage bag (Ziploc bag or similar)In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, guests may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection and Stadium Management approval.

Public Transit:

Several bus lines go by the area. You can take 40, 81, 200, 204, or 102.

Three rail lines are available with close access to the stadium. You can take the silver line, rapid line, or the expo line.

Rideshare:

There does not appear to be a designated taxi stand at this point.

Parking Options

There are several parking lots in the area and share with the United Airlines Coliseum.  It is highly recommended purchasing parking in advance if there is an event in the Coliseum next door.

There are 440 bicycle parking spots and 5% of the spots around the stadium have electric vehicle charging stations with the capability to easily expand that to 20% in the future.
