Visited this arena for a hockey game and it is very clear that it isn’t designed for NHL viewing. Seats in many spots in the upper level have restricted views of the ends of the ice (meaning you can’t see the goal). The food and drink throughout the stadium are about what you would expect for stadium food, but the bottom concourse and suite levels are better if you are looking for more than your standard options. The seats are pretty comfortable throughout the stadium, and would definitely recommend for an NBA game.

Barclays Center blends a modern arena design with a distinctly Brooklyn atmosphere, serving as home to the Brooklyn Nets and a wide range of major events.
Located at Atlantic Terminal, the arena is one of the most transit-friendly venues in the country, with multiple subway lines and rail connections converging nearby.
The seating layout creates a close-to-the-court experience, and the crowd energy builds during marquee matchups.
Food and beverage options highlight Brooklyn’s diverse food scene, with a mix of local vendors and traditional offerings.
After the game, fans can explore surrounding neighborhoods or head further into New York City with ease.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
