About Ball Arena

Opening in 1999, Ball Arena (formerly Pepsi Center) replaced the McNichols Sports Arena as part of Denver's block of sporting venues. It's hosted numerous sporting events and concerts during that time.

Ball Arena serves as a central hub for Denver sports, hosting the Nuggets and Avalanche in a venue known for strong fan support and a high-altitude home advantage.

Located near downtown Denver, the arena is accessible by light rail, bus, and nearby parking options.

The seating layout keeps fans engaged, and the crowd energy builds during competitive matchups.

Food options include traditional fare along with regional Colorado influences.

After the game, fans can head into downtown Denver for restaurants, bars, and entertainment.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

All bags larger than 14"x14"x6" such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.  All bags are subject to inspection before entry.

Getting to Ball Arena

Public Transit: The 1, 15L, and 20 bus lines drop off just south of the stadium at Auraria Pkwy & 9th St. Please visit RTD Denver to plan your trip. The Pepsi Center/Elitch Gardens Station is located just northwest of the stadium. Please visit RTD Denver to plan your trip.

Rideshare: A taxi stand can be found at the RPM cab stand, located on the south side of the stadium.

There are 4,930 parking spaces located on the stadium grounds. An additional 2,000 spots are available nearby at Elitch Gardens.
