About Atlanta Motor Speedway

Opening in 1960 and sitting just outside of Atlanta, GA, Atlanta Motor Speedway is the home of early and late season racing due to being in a warmer climate. Most notably, the track suffered $40 million in damage from a tornado in 2005.

Fan Tips

Atlanta Motor Speedway offers high-speed oval racing with a reconfigured layout that emphasizes pack racing and intense competition.

Located south of Atlanta in Hampton, the track is primarily accessed by car and rideshare.

Grandstand seating provides strong views of the action, especially along the frontstretch.

Concessions include traditional race-day fare with regional Southern options.

Race weekends feature tailgating, camping, and a lively fan atmosphere throughout the property.

Security Screenings

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy

One soft-sided bag OR hard or soft-sided cooler no larger than 14" x 14" x 14" may be brought into the track. All bags subject to search before entry.

Getting to Atlanta Motor Speedway

Public Transit: During NASCAR season, a tram runs from select spots beyond a 1 1/4 miles from the track. There does not appear to be any rail service to this track.

Rideshare: There doesn't appear to be a specific taxi stand. You may be able to find a taxi to bring you out to the track, but you may not have as much luck coming back.

During NASCAR season, a tram runs from select spots beyond a 1 1/4 miles from the track.

Rail Service

There does not appear to be any rail service to this track.

Taxi & Rideshare Service

There doesn't appear to be a specific taxi stand. You may be able to find a taxi to bring you out to the track, but you may not have as much luck coming back.
