Stadium Information

About Anfield

Did you know that Everton FC was the original occupant of Anfield?  After a dispute, Everton moved to Goodison Park and Liverpool FC since the stadium needed a tenant.  Anfield is also famous for "The Kop", a stand behind one of the goals that is notorious for having some of the loudest and rowdiest fans in all of Europe.

Learn more about the teams that play here and upcoming events on our team pages.

Tour Info

A variety of tour options are available including both the grounds (including home dressing room and press room) and a tour of the museum are available.  It's recommended that tickets be purchased from the club a head of time.

Fan Tips

Anfield is one of the most iconic football venues in the world, known for its historic atmosphere and the famous “You’ll Never Walk Alone” anthem. It serves as home to Liverpool FC.

Located in Liverpool, the stadium is accessible by bus, car, and walking routes.

The seating bowl keeps fans close to the pitch, with the Kop stand driving one of the most passionate atmospheres in football.

Concessions include traditional English matchday fare.

Pregame and postgame gatherings in local pubs are a central part of the experience.

Security Screenings

Standard security checks used include metal detectors, body searches, and bag checks before entry will be allowed.

Bag Policy

Bags are typically prohibited except for "A5" type bags (a small handbag).  It's recommended that you leave your bag at home unless absolutely necessary.  Larger bags such as backpacks and suitcases are prohibited and there does not appear to be a bag check at the stadium.

Note: Bag and security policies listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variations. Please check the event website for any changes.
