Visited this arena for a hockey game and it is very clear that it isn’t designed for NHL viewing. Seats in many spots in the upper level have restricted views of the ends of the ice (meaning you can’t see the goal). The food and drink throughout the stadium are about what you would expect for stadium food, but the bottom concourse and suite levels are better if you are looking for more than your standard options. The seats are pretty comfortable throughout the stadium, and would definitely recommend for an NBA game.

Stadium Information

About Barclays Center:

Opening in 2012, this multipurpose facility gained a new tenant in 2015 when the New York Islanders moved from Nassau to Brooklyn.

Tour Info:

There doesn't appear to be any public tour offerings at this time.

Security Screenings:

Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium.  Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside.  Pat down searches may be required.

Bag Policy:

All bags larger than 14"x14"x6" such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.  All bags are subject to inspection before entry.

Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.

Parking & Transportation

Parking Options

There are seven parking lots within a half mile walk of the arena. Many will charge at least $28 to park for an event.

We're setting up a partnership with a new parking company. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Service:

MTA runs bus routes B37, B41, B45, B63, B65, B67 and B103 near the arena. To plan your trip, please visit MTA

Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center is the station to visit on the New York City Subway system. This station is serviced by the 2,3,4,5, B,Q,D, N, and R lines. To plan your trip, please visit MTA

Taxi & Rideshare Service:

There does not appear to be an official taxi service and there are not a lot of taxis that service the area. It's recommended to take public transportation or arrange a car service beforehand.
