Home of the Charlotte Hornets
Previously known as Time Warner Cable Arena, this arena was constructed and opened back in 2005 to welcome professional basketball back to Charlotte. The stadium was the result of a longstanding battle which eventually resulted in the original franchise moving to New Orleans for the 2002-2003 season.
There doesn't appear to be any public tour offerings at this time.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
All bags larger than 16"x16"x8" such as backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena. All bags are subject to inspection before entry.
Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.
Several bus lines end up at the Charlotte Transportation Center, which is less than a mile from the stadium. Check the CATS website for routes and up to date schedules.
The CTC Station, CTC Arena, and CTC/Arena CityLynx stops are directly next to the station. Check Lynx for schedules and station information.
