Home of the Detroit Lions
Becoming a contributor to the revitalizing of downtown Detroit, Ford Field opened in 2002 with much fanfare. Unfortunately, the play of the Detroit Lions has not matched the quality of this facility. The facility was built around an old warehouse from the 1920s, giving the stadium a classic architectural feel.
A variety of tour options are available. Please visit tour information.
All guests are subject to a screening using a wand upon entry.
Note: Bag and security policy listed above are for typical sporting events. Special events, concerts, and other situations may result in variation to the policy. Please check event website for any changes or variation.
The 34 and 40 bus routes drop-off right next to the stadium
The People Mover has three stations within a half of a mile of Ford Field. The catch is that it's only useful if you're staying in downtown Detroit.
