Opening in 2000, this is a 1.5 mile tri-oval speedway that has hosted NASCAR and IndyCar Racing. It is an asphalt-racing surface and the speedway is on 1,000 acres.
Track tours are available year-round for $7 for adults, but the website indicates that full-facility tours do not occur on weeks of events. To schedule a tour, call 859-567-3517.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
You may enter with a soft-sided cooler no larger than 14"x 14"x 14" AND a small bag or backpack. All bags are subject to inspections.
