Belle Isle is a 982-acre island located in the Detroit River. The island includes a half-mile swimming beach. One of the features of the Belle Isle Grand Prix is the Verizon IndyCar Series. It is a 2.3 mile track.
There is no formal tour available, but since Belle Isle is a park, you can schedule a visit and tour around the park yourself.
Like almost all US and Canadian Stadiums, you will need to enter through a metal detector before entering the stadium. Be sure to give yourself extra time and don't bring any weapons or devices that could be seen as a weapon inside. Pat down searches may be required.
One soft-sided bag or soft-sided cooler no larger than 12" x 12" x 12" may be brought into the track. All bags subject to search before entry.

Parking is not available on Belle Isle for the Grand Prix event. Check the website for suggested parking locations, as the event guides and transportation maps apply to specific calendar years. There is lot and street parking available in Downtown Detroit on the date of the Grand Prix, pricing varies. Please visit the event info page for more information.
The Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix provides round-trip shuttle service running from the Cobo Center, GM Renaissance Center, and Windsor, Ontario. This shuttle service from Downtown Detroit is free. The Shuttle buses drop-off and pick-up on Belle Isle at the Shuttle Transportation Center.

There is not a rail system that services the track.
