The game started off as a true battle between two all-star SG's. DeMar DeRozan put up 10 points for the Toronto, while Bradley Beal dropped 12 points for Washington. At the 9:33 mark in the quarter, things got chippy as OG Anunoby and Markieff Morris exchanged shoves after a questionable foul from OG. In a 2:00 minute timespan at the end of the quarter, the Wizards went on a 12-0 scoring run to take control of the lead. The Raptors trailed 29-30.
